Practice: Negotiation, Mediation, Conciliation, Collaborative Law

He has been a pioneer in the institutionalization, promotion, and practice of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods in Mexico for nearly three decades.

In 1999, he founded and led the country’s first municipal mediation center in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León. He later became the first private mediator certified in Mexico by the State of Nuevo León and subsequently earned certifications in other states, including Coahuila, Tamaulipas, Yucatán, and the State of Mexico.

He was appointed the first head of the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms of the Federal Judicial Branch, where he played a key role in developing a more accessible, people-centered justice model.

Internationally, he has served as a mediator for the World Bank in Mexico and the Caribbean and is a member of the United Nations Global Panel of Mediators for internal affairs of both institutions.

As a recognized expert in the field, he has been invited to speak at numerous local, national, and international seminars and conferences on mediation and dispute resolution across Europe and Latin America. In addition, he has lectured at several universities in Mexico and taught mediation training programs at various institutions across the country.

He is a partner at Alinea Center for Mediation and Dispute Resolution, S.C., the first private center certified by the Judicial Branch of the State of Nuevo León. In a strategic alliance with Libera Iuris, he develops tailored dispute resolution mechanisms for the public and private sectors, at both national and international levels.
